What I hope to do with this blog and lifestyle site over the coming months – and yes, years – is offer you, for whatever they’re worth… some of the valuable lessons this 81 year-old gathered along the way and some of my favorite ways to remain youthful by both pampering and challenging myself.
There will be detailed descriptions and videos of my daily routine, including favorite exercises as well as a list of “haba’s” (health & beauty aids!) that have worked for me – specific products and makeup tips!
I will also impart my philosophy…which has gotten me through both good and bad times. I will touch on all facets of a fully-lived life…growing up in San Francisco in the 50’s, my restlessness at an early age…what it was like graduating high school at 16 years-old, and what it was like to be so young and “out in the world” as a teenage model in SF, Los Angeles and Boston…then my quest for a less-narcissistic path, which led me to enter the convent studying to become a nun (!)…why I left to resume modeling and what happened next…

THE GOOD LIFE…
Both Lou and I have been widowed for five years now and although we both treasure our memories made with our married partners we are determined to live life to the fullest now. We are sharing many wonderful hours together and have a 5-year-plan 🙂 which includes New Year’s Eves spent at The Brown Palace, weekly dinners out and many other stay-at-home evenings, along with occasional travels! Besides fabulous trips to New York City and Las Vegas, he has taken me to visit his family in Webster, South Dakota, and I loved it!! We have gone there twice now and each time has been a wonderful experience with wonderful people…his sister Joann and her husband Leroy who live on a working farm, their sons and daughter as well as the whole extended family. I look forward to seeing them all again.
Kari: Sally and I are so enjoying your website. I always heard bits and pieces of your history with Burt but never heard the whole story before. He was always so proud to be with you….he literally shined when he talked about you. We’ll be in Colorado for most of the summer starting mid-June. Maybe a lunch?
