Lifestyle, Beauty, and Fitness Tips

LIFESTYLE

This is my very first blog so I’m new at this but I am going to start by telling you how I begin my day!

The very first thing I do is make my bed!  I learned this from a design client of mine…a bachelor who inspired me with his lifestyle.  He was right when he said it is a kind of discipline.   He also said it was especially nice coming home from work and gave him a sense of calm.   In fact, when I think of it … it was one of the first things we learned in the convent!  And, of course, anyone in the military learns in bootcamp.

It really does put the day in perspective!!  Somehow it brings order into your day.  Try it!

BEAUTY

The next thing I do is put drops in my eyes and a light oil on my face.  I use “Clear Eyes (Redness Relief) because as we age the white part of our eyes…the “sclera” becomes cloudy and loses its brightness.  Check out a young person’s eyes!  I cannot stop the aging process but I can use any help available and I believe it has helped me all these years to use daily eye drops;  and, in this age of digital devices and high-def,  doubly so!

Next I use “NIVEA Nourishing Body Oil”  on my face.  It is so light!! Not oily at all…and absorbs easily.  It consists of avocado & macadamia oil.  I apply it just before I exercise and by the time I am through with my fitness routine and ready to wash my face it has totally disappeared!  Later, after showering or bathing I apply it on my arms and legs too.

Then I change from my night clothes to my workout clothing.  And begin my exercise routine while watching the morning TV shows or news channels.   I always try to do two things at once!

If I wake up too early and am not ready to leave my bed yet,  I still try to do the following combination that I mention under “Fitness” before I get up!

FITNESS

Here is my first fitness secret:  Facial Exercises while Stretching!

This has worked for me over the years.  I simply raise one eyebrow about 50 consecutive times and then the other, as well as raising my cheekbones which produces  a kind of squinting motion with those  muscles the same amount of time.  This will help prevent bags under your eyes.  All that while I  stretch every way possible taking less than 5 minutes!   I really believe we do not stretch enough.   Nothing helps to eliminate or control arthritis better!!

Check out my second blog for a further explanation  as to how and why that relates back to a little story from my modeling days 🙂
