So, today, I have to tell you my excitement is building because we are going skiing this coming Thursday. The featured photo above is of one of our best days last year when we had beautiful bluebird weather at Copper Mountain.
The guys I ski with are a special lot: Geoff, an Aussie, who is a supreme photographer took this shot! I will be posting others he has taken which will take your breath away. Jerry, in the red, is from California, where we knew each other way back when and besides great times shared in the Bay Area we had super adventures in Hawaii together with my husband Burt and Jerry’s Buzzy! Last, and certainly not least is Peter in the purple, he is remarkable not just for being a good guy but because he had the misfortune of losing his leg in a motorcycle accident, but skis beautifully and takes off like the wind!! We like him too because he has a “Handicap” sign and we are able to park right next to the lift. 🙂
So this is our foursome on Thursday this year! Now I can include Geoff, from Australia who took the great pic last year. He is on the right in the forefront. I posted this pic on Instagram saying “I must be shrinking!”!! Next to me on the Left is Peter with his new toy – a Ski-bike (I’m told its proper name is a Sno-Go). He is just breaking it in but is already amazing on it. What fascinated me was how easily he mounted the lift and skied right off. He had no problem skiing right along with the rest of us on it. Truly fascinating!
